POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a road crash at which Harrietsham, near Maidstone, which claimed the life of a woman car driver. The woman, who was in her 40s, and from Dartford, died in Maidstone Hospital shortly after the accident.

Her blue Ford Orion was in collision with a lorry at the Ashford Road junction with Church Lane on the A20 shortly after 7am on Thursday.
