Woman hurt in crash on A249

A WOMAN was injured today when a Renault Megane and another vehicle were involved in a collision on the A249 at Stockbury, near Maidstone.
The woman was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. The accident happened at about 8am and for a time traffic was reduced to one lane.
In another crash on the A249 on Monday, a five-tonne box van caused tailbacks on the M2 when it collided with the central reservation, on the Maidstone-bound carriageway near the Little Chef restaurant and the Kent County Showground.
The driver was not injured in the crash, which happened at about 6.45am.
