Woman seriously hurt in two-car smash

A WOMAN was trapped in her car with serious head injuries following a road crash.

The collision, involving two cars, happened on Chalk Lane, Cranbrook, at about 7.30am on Tuesday on the A262 between the A229 and Goudhurst.

The woman was freed and taken to Kings College Hospital in London by a crew from the South Eastern Coastal Ambulance Service.

The other driver was not injured. Road closures were enforced by Kent Police on the A262 near Chalk Lane.
