The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain on Sunday.

The warning was issued for a large part of the country and includes the whole of Kent.

Forecasters say heavy and persistent rain will start on Sunday and continue on Monday.

They also say there will be heavy showers on and off throughout Tuesday and it will be windy at times, especially in coastal areas.

The warning comes just days after forecasters issued flood warnings coastal towns in Kent.

Alerts were active earlier this week, across the Isle of Sheppey and from Kemsley to Seasalter, because of flooding.

The Met Office also issued a yellow weather warning for stormy weather on Monday.

Hurrican Lorenzo swept in and brought some flooding and power cuts to the county.

There were treacherous conditions in the county from 6am.
