Police are looking for two men after an amusement arcade worker was hurt in an armed robbery.

The men walked into the arcade in Queen Street, Ramsgate at 8.30pm on Wednesday and demanded that staff open the safe and hand over the contents.

They left with coins and notes in a sports bag.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Neil Watford of Kent Police said: "The two men were carrying knives and were very threatening in their manner, towards both members of staff and a couple of customers who were in the arcade at the time.

"One male member of staff was taken to hospital with minor injuries and everyone involved was left shaken by the incident."

Detectives have issued descriptions of the two men. The first is described as white, slim and between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall.

He was wearing a dark hooded tracksuit top with grey markings on the shoulders and arms, blue jeans, white trainers and grey gloves.

The second man was black, slim and between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall.

He was wearing a black Adidas top with white stripes running down each arm, blue jogging bottoms and trainers.

DS Watford said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who saw the two men approaching or leaving the arcade, or who remembers seeing them in Ramsgate on Wednesday.

"Both men were wearing quite distinctive tops which might jog someone's memory."

"We're also keen to hear about anyone in the area using a large amount of coins to pay for goods."
