Travel agents made a Valentine dream come true for an Ashford couple.
Craig and Sharon Broad left their honeymoon plans so late, they were spotted looking around the town centre for a holiday in full wedding outfits.
After more than a decade together Craig, 36, and Sharon, 38, from Hunter Close, Willesborough, delighted friends by getting married in a hastily-arranged ceremony.
The couple tied the knot at Ashford register office on Thursday morning, witnessed by eight family members followed by a reception at Ashford International Hotel.
The couple decided the only thing they had forgotten to plan was a honeymoon.
Shoppers in the town centre were surprised to see the couple in complete wedding outfits - her in a full length white wedding dress and he with a velvet jacket and red rose buttonhole - strolling through the County Square shopping centre.
Finding many places fully booked because of Valentine’s weekend, they went into First Choice holidays.
Assistant manager Jacki Geeson and her three assistants Danielle Goody, Emma Barlow and Angela Rick spend hours trawling brochures and the net finding them a perfect venue for a romantic break.
Flights to faraway places were indeed full but they managed to arrange a perfect hotel near the Eiffel Tower travelling on Eurostar for a 5-day break to remember.
Mr Broad said: “We only decided on the spur of the moment after the wedding to book a honeymoon away and the girls here have been fantastic.”
