Stopping Izale McLeod will be Gillingham's key objective when they face Barnet on Tuesday.

The division's leading scorer, with 17 League 2 goals to his name, has enjoyed his recent games against the Gills.

Former Charlton striker McLeod (pictured) has scored seven goals in the last three meetings and the Gills have only beaten Barnet once in the last seven games between the two sides.

The Bees caused an upset in 2007 by knocking Mark Stimson's Gillingham out of the FA Cup. Last season they beat the Gills 4-2 at Priestfield to put a dent in their play-off hopes and this season they knocked Andy Hessenthaler's men out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler, who played 40 games for Barnet in the 2006-07 season, is well aware of the danger posed by the relegation-threatened North London side.

"They are a bogey team at Priestfield," he said. "We did okay away from home against them (this season) but Mr McLeod always seems to have a decent game upfront against us for some reason.

"Their chairman, who I get on with well, told me how well he has done when I recently spoke to him. He always seems to produce and let's hope we can keep him quiet on Tuesday."

Gillingham's only success over the Bees in the club's recent history was a 2-1 win at Underhill in November 2010.
