Three Gillingham players have put pen to paper on new contracts with the club.
Strikers Andy Pugh, Luis Cumbers and defender Tom Wynter have all signed one-year deals this week.
Pugh, who enjoyed an excellent spell on loan with Grays last season, attracted interest from the Blue Square Premier outfit. But manager Mark Stimson was true to his word after promising the striker a new deal toward the end of last season.
Cumbers broke his leg in November and finished the campaign on loan with Ebbsfleet in a bid to regain his fitness.
Wynter, who was on loan at Ramsgate last season, also came through the youth set-up at Priestfield and has been given another season to impress Stimson.
The Gills boss said: "Luis Cumbers and Andy Pugh are two young players who unfortunately since I’ve been at the club have had a nightmare with injuries on and off.
"But I’ve certainly seen something in them to offer them another year and hopefully they can stay injury free throughout pre-season and they can push the senior players. They’ve both shown for the reserves that they have an eye for the goal.
"Tom Wynter is an honest defender and he went out on loan a few times last season. Sometimes you can make a decision too early with young players and he’s now got a bit longer to show me what he’s got. He’s a strong defender and a good character."
