Former Maidstone and the Weald MP Ann Widdecombe will compete in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The ex-backbencher has been tightlipped about the rumours she is to appear on the hit Saturday night show.
Now BBC bosses have confirmed the line-up - and it includes the outspoken Tory diehard.
Other celebs included in the line-up are rugby player Gavin Henson, actresses Patsy Kensit and Felicity Kendal and magician Paul Daniels.
Dubbed the 'wild card', Ms Widdecombe was chosen as the first eminent politician to take to the dance floor.
A BBC spokesman said: "Judges take cover - totally outspoken, you know you are guaranteed the shock factor.
"Once Widdi has waltzed, ballroom will never be the same again."
The novice dancer says she is most looking forward to a gentle waltz and expects her professional partner to have 'the patience of Job'.
The eighth series launches this weekend.
