Anti-terror arrests after house raids

THREE men have been arreested by anti-terror police in connection with an investigation into international terrorism.

The men, all in their early 20s, were arrested after raids at addresses in Chatham and west London. One man was arrested in Chatham at around 10pm on Friday.

The men were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 200.

They are being questioned at a central London police station.

Searches are ongoing at the house in Chatham but no hazardous materials have been found.

Kent Assistant Chief Constable, Adrian Leppard, said: "This was a successful operation where Kent special branch and local officers supported colleagues from an anti-terror branch."
