AN 18-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was discovered in a car park with injuries to his head.

The teenager was found at about 12.30am on Saturday, July 7, in a car park off North Street at Strood, and detectives say he had been assaulted.

A police spokeswoman said: "He was taken by ambulance to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries."

The incident is being investigated by Det Con Melanie Riddell who said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information that may help us with the investigation."
