THIS is the face of a man police would like to speak to in connection with a serious assault on a woman in Margate.

The incident occurred in Tivoli Road, near to Alexandra Terrace, at about 9.30pm on Friday, November 8. The 50-year-old victim was walking along the street when she was approached by three men, one of whom asked her for the time.

He then asked if she wanted some fun. When she said no, he blocked her path, pushed her against a wall and assaulted her.

After the attack the three men left the scene in a black Mercedes with blacked-out windows. The main suspect has been described as being aged between 28-30, 5ft 7in tall, of average build and olive-skinned.

He had short dark wavy hair, covering his ears, dark eyes and bushy eyebrows. He wore blue jeans and a dark jacket, possibly made of nylon. His overall appearance was scruffy.

Witnesses to the attack, in particular passing motorists should contact DS Nick Greenan at Margate Police Station on (01843) 222194. Information can also be passed to the police via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
