A FIRE at a bowls club is being treated as an arson attack by police.

The clubhouse at Pembury Bowls Club, Lower Green Road, Pembury, was almost completely destroyed by the blaze, which started between 4.30pm on Friday and 3.30am on Saturday.

Fire crews took more than two hours to bring the fire under control.

A 15-year-odl boy was arrested in connection with the incident, but later released without charge.
