POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a Swanley man died when his car spun off of the road and he was thrown on to the grass verge.

The accident happened on Friday at about 11.15pm in London Road, Swanley. The man, who has not yet been named, was driving from Sidcup to Swanley in a Jeep when he veered off of the road.

Ambulance crews and police officers were called to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.

An inquest will be opened into the man's death on Wednesday. No other drivers were injured in the accident.
