DETECTIVES are investigating a shooting in which a man was injured.
Police officers were called at about 1am on Monday following reports of an incident outside an address in Palace Grove, Bromley, near Bromley North railway station.
They discovered that a white man suffering a gunshot wound had already been taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, by friends.
The victim's condition was said later not to be serious. He was discharged the same day.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us. In particular, we would like to speak to a group of approximately five white men who were seen outside the address at around the same time as the shooting."
Anyone with any information should contact the Trafalgar Shootings Team on 020 8217 7382 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
A man in his mid 30s was arrested in the Orpington area in connection with the inquiry and taken to a south east London police station.
He was subsequently released on bail to return on a date in October, pending further inquiries.
