AN EARLY morning attack left a young man with a broken jaw when he tried to help his girlfriend and her friends.

Police say the 22-year-old victim intervened when he saw them "having difficulties" with three men near the Charcoal Kebab House at Ramsgate harbour.

As he tried to push one man away from the girls, three men turned on him and beat him in the face.

The main assailant is said to be aged about 20, 5ft 11in tall, medium build, and wore a white jacket and blue jeans. The attack happened between 1am and 2am on Saturday, April 8.
