Appeal as two face murder charge

TWO men are to appear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court accused of murdering 45-year-old haulage contractor Paul Cox.

The body of Mr Cox was discovered in Hastings Road, Rolvenden, near Tenterden, on April 22.

Daniel Henty, 35, of Bramley Drive, Cranbrook, and Michael White, 57, of Hastings Road, Rolvenden, have appeared before Ashford magistrates and been remanded in custody to appear at the crown court at Maidstone on Tuesday, May 3.

A post-mortem examination has revealed that Mr Cox died from multiple injuries. He lived at Rolvenden with his wife, Sarah. He also leaves two children.

Anyone who may have been on the Hastings Road at Rolvenden between 10.30am and 11.15am on Friday, April 22, is asked to telephone police on 01233 619167.
