BRITISH Transport Police have released two CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault on a woman rail worker.
PC Andy Devereese said the incident occurred at Gillingham railway station booking office on August 25 at around 6pm.
He added: “It would appear that the female rail worker went to enter a rear door at the station booking office when a male approached and began to shout and pull on the door.
“The woman managed to get the door closed, but hurt her hand in the process. She waited a while before attempting to leave the office but when she did she was again confronted by the male who began shouting abuse at her."
He added: “We have several still images of a man who was at the station at the time of the offence and would like to speak to him about the incident."
The man is described as white, aged in his 30s and about 5ft 8in tall with a stocky, muscular build. He had very short hair around the sides and appears to be bald on top. The man was wearing a red top and tracksuit bottoms.
Anyone who can identify the man is asked to contact the witness appeal line on 020 7391 5275 quoting background log B8 of 22/11/2006.
