BRITISH Transport Police today released CCTV images of three men who may be able to provide vital information over a sex assault of a 15-year-old girl on a train.
The incident happened after the schoolgirl boarded a train from Gillingham to Gravesend on Sunday, October 8.
Det Sgt Andy Parkinson said: “While the girl was on the train she was approached by three males at around 8.15pm and was then assaulted.
“We have CCTV stills of several men who we believe may have been in the same carriage when the offence happened.
“Members of the public who may know who these men are should contact us, as we believe these men may hold crucial information about this offence and may be able to assist us with our inquiries.
“The three men wanted for questioning in relation to the attack had a Staffordshire Bull-Terrier with them.”
The first male was black and thought to be aged 18 or 19. He was about 5ft 5in tall and wearing a black coat with fur on the hood and stone washed jeans. His hair was in two braids that came down either side of his head.
The second man was also black and was wearing dark clothing and had his hair in small twists.
The third male was white, aged about 18 to 19 and was wearing a black woolly hat. The offenders also had a Staffordshire Bull-Terrier with them.
