The Archbishop of Canterbury is to go head to head with renowned atheist Richard Dawkins this afternoon.

Dr Rowan Williams and Professor Richard Dawkins will debate "the nature of human beings and the question of their ultimate origin."

The event, held in Oxford University’s Sheldonian Theatre, will be hosted by the Sofia Europa Group of the Theology Faculty.

A live webcast of the discussion will be screened today at The Archbishop of Canterbury's website from 4pm-5.30pm. The video will also be available online after the event.
