A government scheme to promote eco cars has gained a mixed reaction from Kent shoppers.
Medway drivers feared so-called 'green' cars would take too long to charge.
They were speaking after Whitehall today announced a £250 mllion scheme to encourage motorists to use electrically-powered cars.
Drivers will be offered subsidies of up to £5,000 when buying a new car, provided it runs mainly on electric power.
Is this enough to get more of these cars on the road?
