Armed robbers raid pub

ARMED robbers stole a four-figure sum from a Sturry pub after threatening bar staff.

Two men wearing boiler suits and balaclavas entered the Punch Tavern at 10.45pm on Sunday.

They demanded keys to the safe, locked staff in an office and made off with the cash.

Police stop checked drivers travelling on nearby roads in an operation that lasted until midnight but found nothing.
