An assault in Sheerness resulted in a man being arrested and another treated for injuries.

Police and an ambulance crew were called to the Halfway Road end of the High Street at 11.40am today.

Officers arrested a 46-year-old man from Sheerness while medics treated the other man, who was 42, for a nose injury.

The pair are thought to have known each other.
