Six people are in hospital after a fight broke out in Sheerness this morning.
Police were called to Strode Crescent at 5.46am today (Friday) after an argument broke out between two groups of people who are known to each other.
A police spokesman said seven people were arrested for violent disorder and six of them are in hospital receiving treatment for a range of injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road has been blocked off by police and two houses have also been sealed off.
Detective Inspector Tristan Stevens said: "We are still obtaining full details of this incident.
"We are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who may have seen the disturbance, or events leading up to it, to call Sittingbourne police station on 01795 419161."
The incident comes just eight days after two men were attacked in nearby Newcomen Road, Sheerness.
David Lynch and his brother Malcolm Hardy were attacked by two masked men with pepper spray and a knife.
