Have ewe seen it yet?

The wool must have been pulled over your eyes if not - a giant sheep is now greeting visitors to the Island.

The 30-metre drawing, made using biodegradable paint, is now clearly visible to motorists on Humphrey's Hill, which overlooks Cowstead Corner roundabout.

The lines that make up the sheep are one and a half metres wide and it can be seen when driving onto Sheppey along the A249.

More than 30 people came along to a free workshop to help create The Big Sheep on Saturday.

The design was thought up by Queenborough Primary School pupils Cian and Millie Graham as part of a competition last year.

The Big Sheep is an art project which has been organised by Art at the Centre as part of the national Big Draw event.

The Big Draw is a month of art activities for people of all ages and abilities all over the UK.

The drawing will be on display until next Saturday.

Nicole Mollett, Swale council's arts coordinator, said: "I was really pleased so many people I had not met before turned up to help in this exciting venture.

"It is something different and a very ambitious project and I was delighted everyone came together to help create it."
