MARGATE'S new arts centre has been tested to see if it can withstand the stormiest seas.

Tests carried out on a scale model of The Turner Centre--to be opened in 2007--found that it will withstand strong waves.

Centre director, Victoria Pomery, told KM-fm it was important as the building will be right on the seafront...
