Asda has recalled all of its Disney Buzz Lightyear sound effect costumes and warned they carried a risk of strangulation.

The retail giant said the costumes did not carry the appropriate hazard warning label on the product.

The outfit is not suitable for younger children under 36 months due to the potential of the attached cord on the wings presenting a strangulation hazard.

All sizes of the costume have been recalled.

Asda advised those who had bought the costume to take it to their nearest store for a full refund. A receipt is not needed.
