Attack victim bitten on arm

POLICE are appealling for information following an assault on a young man leaving a kebab shop.

A 25-year-old man and a friend were in the shop near to the junction of Star Hill, Rochester, between 10.20pm and 11.05pm on Sunday when a man became aggressive towards them.

When the pair left the premises they were followed by the man who is then alleged to have grabbed the 25-year-old and bitten his arm.

The victim attended hospital for a check-up following the incident.

The matter is being investigated by PC Steve Bell, who said: "I am aware that there were several people in the area at around the time of the incident and I would like to hear from anyone who may have information they can help with this investigation.

"In particular, I would like to speak with a woman, who asked the man if an ambulance was needed and the driver of a white taxi that was seen to drive past when the assault was occurring."

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
