FOUR Londoners have been released on bail by detectives following an attempted robbery at a bank in Margate.

The men were arrested in Addington Street, shortly after the incident at the Halifax in Margate High Street on Tuesday morning. They are a 22-year-old man from Lewisham, a 21-year-old from Kennington, a 19-year old Brixton and an 18-year-old from Clapham.

They have been bailed to return to Thanet police headquarters in Margate on June 30.
