Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler believed his side failed to show enough "will to win" in their match at Burton Albion on Saturday.

Hessenthaler was frustrated for the second week running at the Gills’ first half showing.

He has called on his players to start showing more desire and passion.

The Gills manager also commented on the club’s current situation regarding their pursuit of Peterborough United midfielder Chris Whelpdale and the difficulty he has in signing current players on longer deals with their plight still uncertain.
