Gillingham midfielder Danny Spiller admitted it was a "quiet" dressing room after the 1-1 draw against Torquay at the weekend.
Spiller (pictured) also backed keeper Alan Julian after the goalkeeper's costly error.
He said: "Alan is a good honest professional who came in and apologised. He knew he made a mistake but the saves he made in the first half kept us in the game."
Spiller remains optimistic for a complete turnaround to the season. Click below to listen to his post-match thoughts from the weekend.
