Actor and writer Peter Barnett is looking for nine experienced actresses for the Kent amateur premier of his show, The Angina Monologues, at The Granville Theatre in Ramsgate this autumn.
Auditions will be at the theatre studio on Sunday, July 27, from 10.30am. For more information, please call Peter on 07715441233 or use the contacts page on www.peterbarnett.info
The show was first performed in London in 2003 to great critical acclaim and was described as a ’spirited show’ with 'impressive power with words’ by The Stage. Further productions have since been staged in UK and Spain. The show consists of 11 comedy monologues especially written for women of all ages with characters ranging from Shanice, a Liverpudlian holiday rep who has gone to Greece to get away from her control freak boyfriend, to Maud, who can’t find the right hobby since her husband, who was on Viagra, died in the Post Office.
The show is performed on November 14 and 15, the latter being a gala performance in aid of The Pilgrims Hospices.
