Bar damaged by arson attack

POLICE investigating a fire at a bar are treating the incident as an arson attack.

The blaze at the Box Bar, in the High Street, Bexkenham, erupted at about 4.30am on Good Friday.

Firefighters evacuated the occupants of the flat above the bar.

No injuries were reported and the bar sustained minor smoke damage.

It is understood that a suspect was seen running away from the scene. Bromley CID are investigating but no arrests have yet been made.
