A BAR in Welling has had its licence suspended and its Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) removed because of its effect on anti-social behaviour.
The council's licensing sub-committee made the decision to suspend the licence of Inferno's in Bellegrove Road because there was "considerable evidence that the licensing was being seriously undermined by the management".
Evidence given included the failure of a test purchase for underage drinking and an attack on a 40-year-old woman's car by youths who had been drinking in the pub.
Other restrictions imposed on the bar were that after 7pm from Thursday to Sunday nobody under 21 should be allowed on the premises, the pool table should not be used and the use of polycarbonate glass introduced.
It was also told to install approved door staff at its front and rear entrances.
The licence is to be suspended for four weeks so that the staff can be retrained and the DPS, currently Jacqui King, replaced.
The bar has 21 days to appeal the decision, but owner Kennith Ryan would not comment on whether one would be made.
