Neighbours living near Baroness Uddin's Maidstone flat have been quizzed by detectives.
According to the Daily Mirror, Scotland Yard Fraud Squad officers visited the two-bedroom flat, near Wat Tyler Way, last week, as part of their investigation into allegations the 49-year-old Baroness used the address to fraudulently claim £100,000 in expenses.
The Labour Peer allegedly recorded the property as her main address in order to claim a £30,000-per-year second home allowance from the House of Lords, but neighbours have repeatedly told reporters they have never seen her at the flat.
Most recently, Shelley Constable, 23, told the Kent Messenger she had "never seen anyone going in or out of the flat."
The Daily Mirror also reported that Detectives from the Economic and Specialist Crime Command are examining electoral rolls and financial records relating to Uddin.
The newspaper believes these only link her to the Wapping property and make no mention of her living in Maidstone.
Uddin denies any wrongdoing.
