Kent motorists bound for the M25 today are being warned of delays - because of an appearance by Batman.

A fathers' rights protester dressed as the superhero is holding a one-man protest on the motorway and has forced police to close all four lanes of the anti-clockwise carriageway between junctions 14 to 15, near Heathrow.

Police say the man, who is a member of the group Fathers 4 Justice, has climbed a gantry above the road and the decision to close the carriageway was on safety grounds.

Drivers are being warned to avoid the route for the time being.
