The Championship game at Warwickshire could have gone either way in the end.
Their big last-wicket partnership in the first innings won them the game. It was poor from us as we were a bit lazy trying to get that last wicket, like we expected them to just get out.
It was disappointing but we fought back well and gave ourselves a sniff of a chance but when me and a couple of the other guys got out early we lost our chance, even though Jarre batted brilliantly. It was just one of those pitches.
As long as the weather holds off, we have a good chance of getting a result against Hampshire.
It is massively important for us to finish on a high and we will be going all-out to try to win our last two games against Hampshire and at Yorkshire next week.
Yorkshire have had a decent season but we won’t know until Monday how important the game might be for us.
We might be at the end of a long season and there might be tired bodies but we’ll always go out there doing our best.
There are a few niggles in the camp, Cooky has got a knee problem and Matt Coles has a broken finger and a knee problem. We are just trying to get through and individually trying to do our jobs properly.
The last couple of weeks have been tough for us all but Farby and Keysey have done a good job of getting us all to stick together.
Missing out on a place in the semi-finals of the CB40 was a bit gutting. We were chuffed to have won the last five on the bounce. It was a fantastic response and what Farby wanted from us.
It was just a shame we left it a little too late to qualify. But we finished on a high and can go into next season’s competition with confidence.
imon Willis got onto an amazing winning streak at cards on the bus on the long trip back from Durham .
By the time we got back at 2.30am, he had cleaned Keysey and a few other people out but to make matters worse when we stopped at a service station for a break, he popped £1 of his winnings into a fruit machine and won £67.
It was unbelievable. But he didn’t even offer to get the boys anything to eat or drink at the services.
