Freezing temperatures and icy conditions have continued to wreak havoc on Kent's roads - after a fresh weather warning was issued for the county.
Many areas had fresh snowfall overnight and today as the mercury dipped to -7C in some places, the lowest it has been for many years, making it difficult for drivers.
A lorry a lorry jack-knifed on the A2 earlier, it happened on the London-bound carriageway between Whitfield and Lydden, near to Dover, at just before noon.
And Crete Road West in Folkestone is still sealed off between the A260 Canterbury Road and Elvington Lane due to snow.
Traffic was queuing for three miles following a crash that forced the closure of a lane on the London-bound carriageway of the M20, between Aylesford and Leybourne.
Motorists also experienced delays clockwise along the M25 following a collision near the Swanley Interchange this morning.
Meanwhile, emergency services were called to the A299 Thanet Way after a lorry veered off the coast-bound carriageway near Herne Bay at about 4.15am.
A police spokesman said: "One lane remains closed while arrangements are made to recover the vehicle."
Officers were also sent to the scene of a crash involving a lorry and a car at 1.45am in Seven Mile Lane near Mereworth, Maidstone.
No injuries were reported, but the route was sealed off between the A20 and A26 to allow the vehicles to be recovered and the gritting of the carriageway.
The A249 between Sittingbourne and Maidstone was also shut overnight due to stranded lorries near Detling.
This comes as a new yellow weather warning for the county has been released by the Met Office.
The notice reads: "Icy patches and snow showers will cause further travel disruption.
"Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
"There will probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
The Met Office warning was in place until 11am today.
