A man reportedly acting in an “aggressive and threatening manner” sparked a huge police response in a town centre.
Officers were called to the incident in Balmoral Road near Gillingham railway station and arrested a man at the scene.
Police say he was found to have a razor blade and a class B drug yesterday afternoon.
“We were called at about 1pm yesterday to a report of a man acting in an aggressive and threatening manner in Balmoral Road, Gillingham,” a force spokesman said.
“Officers attended and arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of a public order offence, possession of a class B drug and possession of a bladed article.
“He remains in custody as inquiries continue.”
