Plenty of beer is said to be the secret behind the success of this year’s Big Quiz winners.

Gypsy Tart walked away with the trophy at Medway’s biggest wine and wisdom night at the Black Lion Leisure Centre, Gillingham, on Friday night. The team lost out on just 10 points, scoring 70 out of a possible 80.

The winners are all regulars at The Unicorn in Canterbury and compete against each other in different teams at the weekly pub quiz. But old rivalries were set aside as they joined forces to take part in the Big Quiz.

And it was their second KM Big Quiz triumph – they took the winners’ trophy at the Canterbury event too.
