RAJAR results show thousands more listening to kmfm

More than 38,000 listeners have been added to the kmfm audience following the latest RAJAR results released today.

It amounts to a 25.8% increase since the summer and is the second highest recorded in the station's history.

The biggest gain has been to the Breakfast Show with Garry & Laura with 28,000 new listeners.

The show, which is now broadcast live on KMTV, reaches 110,000 each morning, an increase of 34% since the last quarter.

Both Daytimes with Andy Walker and Rob Wills on Drivetime have seen increases of more than 20%.

Total listening hours have also increased to 1,046,000 hours, a rise of just under 11%.

Listeners are now choosing to listen to kmfm on average 5.5 hours each week.

These increases to the kmfm audience have been across all age groups but most significantly in the station's target audience of 15 to 44-year-olds.

A total of 21,300 adults have been added in this demographic.

In addition to the 188,600 adults a further 24,000 Children, aged between 10 and 14 , listen to kmfm each week.

The results, for the period between April and September 2018, come at time when the station broadcast 'See Bruno Mars in LA', Thousand Pound Friday throughout August plus promotions with Bluewater, Hempstead Valley and Westwood Cross.
