POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Faversham Road at Whitstable.

The victim lived in the Whitstable area. No other vehicles were involved in the incident which happened at about 2pm on Tuesday.

A parked vehicle and some railings were slightly damaged as a result of the crash. Police say there are no suspicious circumstances. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The man has not yet been named. An inquest will be held. Witnesses are asked to telephone police at Canterbury on 01227 762055.
