A MAN was seriously injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a set of traffic lights in the county.

He was riding a yellow and black Suzuki motorcycle in Maidstone Road, near the junction with Commercial Road, Paddock Wood, when the crash happened at around 12.40am on Sunday.

The man, who police say is local to the area, suffered serious neck and head injuries. He was first taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in London where his condition is described as critical but stable.
