A MAN was killed after his Suzuki motorbike was in a collision with a VW Golf.

The accident happened at around 6.45pm on Thursday on the A20 London Road at Aylesford, at the junction with Teapot Lane.

The car driver suffered shock, but escaped serious injury.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident and it was not re-opened until the early hours of Friday morning.

The Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses to the crash or for anyone who saw the vehicles in the area before the incident to contact them on 01622 798538.

The next of kin of the dead man have been informed, but police are not yet releasing his identity.
