Biker fights for life after A20 crash

A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after being involved in a head-on crash with a car.

The impact of the accident, which happened on the A20 near Leeds Castle, destroyed the motorbike and the front wing of the car.

Air ambulance crews reported the male rider - who is 64 and lives in Medway - had been thrown 20 yards from the car.

He was airlifted by Kent Air Ambulance to The Royal London Hospital, a specialist trauma centre suffering from severe facial, pelvic and limb injuries.

His condition is described as critical.

The crash happened just after 1pm on Thursday, February 26 - but details have only just been released.
