A 21-year-old man who died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a car in the county has been identified.

Edward Allan Purcell, of Valley Road, Barham, near Canterbury, suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the A258 between Dover and Deal, close to the St Margaret's junction, shortly before 7pm last night.

He died later in the QEQM Hospital at Margate. The driver and other occupants of the car involved were not seriously hurt.
