A 57-year-old motorcyclist died in hospital after he was involved in a collision with a van in a narrow country lane in Kent.

The crash happened at around 2.25pm Monday in Wingham Road, Bramling, near Canterbury.

The male rider of the motorbike was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate with serious injuries - but he later died.

The driver of a yellow van also involved was not hurt.

The road was closed for nearly five hours while crash investigors examined the scene.
