As the glorious Kentish summer continues, houses in the county were struck by lightning during more storms overnight.
One family in Swanley managed to escape unharmed to their car after a bolt hit their home in Manse Way at around 2.30am.
Another property in Nelson Place, Broadstairs, was struck at around 4am, while a third home in Kings Avenue, Birchington, was also hit in the early hours.
Both strikes started small fires but firefighters managed to contain the blazes to the lofts.
The county has also been hit by flooding, with Thanet and the Folkestone area the worst affected.
In Ramsgate, fire crews spent around two hours pumping water from the Royal Oak hotel on Harbour Parade, while minor flooding was reported at several other bars and restaurants.
Stretches of the A256 were badly affected, with a mudslide at the bottom of Chalk Hill, while in Margate, Shottendane Road was described by one caller to kmfm as being "like a mud bath".
