Kent judo player Ben Quilter wins

A Kent judo player has won gold at a world championship with a
difference.

Ben Quilter, who is blind, defeated a Japanese opponent in the
final to seal his second world title at the IBSA World Games in
Turkey.

The International Blind Sports Association holds competitions
for many different sports, with visually impaired athletes
contending internationally in Judo.

Ben, 29, trains at the British Judo Performance Institute in
Dartford and KentOnline went down to see him gearing up for the
2012 Paralympics in London.

Despite the disadvantages he faces being blind, he still manages
to take down his able-bodied fiance, Francesca, a number of
times.
