A VAN driver who died in a crash on the A229 at Blue Bell Hill, near Chatham, last week has been named. He was Ian Sheverst, 54, from Meopham Green, near Gravesend, who was killed when his van was in collision with two other vehicles about 400 yards from the Bridgewood roundabout.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned at a coroner's court in Maidstone.
